- Loan*Calculator! Plus v2.0
- REMOVE.TXT
- REVISED 11/96
-
-
- In the event that you decide not to use Loan*Calculator! Plus, you will
- find it very easy to remove from your computer. First, if you installed
- the program under Windows 3.1x, or NT prior to NT 4.0x there is an
- automatic uninstaller that is accessible by clicking on the uninstall
- icon located in the program group. If you installed under Windows 95 or
- Window NT 4.0 or greater, you should use the REMOVE feature that those
- versions of Windows offer.
-
- You can also look at the INSTALL.LOG file to manually remove the
- program files. The INSTALL.LOG is located in the same directory or
- folder as the program. It is created automatically during the install.
- DO NOT REMOVE THIS FILE! The automatic uninstall depends upon this file
- to know what files to delete.
-
- A few notes are in order. The install program for Loan*Calculator! Plus
- only installs 3 files outside of the program's directory or folder.
- Those programs are LOANPLS2.INI located in the main windows directory.
- Additionally, you'll find SDEnnnn.DLL & SNSXnnnn.DLL installed in the
- WINxxxxx\SYSTEM directory. (nnnn represents a number, currently 2016).
-
- The DLL files may actually have been on your computer before you
- installed Loan*Calculator! Plus. (They are known as shared files.)
- Therefore, if you are going to remove Loan*Calculator! Plus, we strongly
- suggest that you copy the two .DLL files to another directory. If after
- a few months of running all of your software, you've not had any
- problems, then you can safely delete them from your computer.
-
- LOANPLS2.INI can always be deleted when you delete the program as can
- all files in the directory where the program was installed. Remember
- though that the files that have a .DBF and .NSX extension are your data
- files. You may want to save them in the event you ever want to use the
- program again.
-
- Finally, if you backed up duplicate files when the install was run,
- you will have to manually delete the backed up files and remove the
- directory or folder yourself.
-
- Hopefully, you won't find the need to remove the program.
